Also known as SW 90 elbows or socket weld 90 degree elbows, these fittings seat the pipe in a machined socket before welding, ensuring accurate alignment and a strong, leak-resistant joint. We stock socket weld 90° elbows in two ranges: a 150LB range in cast grade CF8M (316) stainless steel, and a 3000LB range in forged 316/316L stainless steel for higher-pressure pipework. The 3000LB range is manufactured to ANSI B16.11 / BS3799. Between the two ranges we cover sizes from 1/4″ to 2″ (DN8–DN50). If you need a size or rating not shown, larger sizes are available to order — contact our team to check availability.
A 90° elbow provides a right-angle change of direction in a pipe run and is one of the most widely used socket weld fittings. Socket weld 90 elbows are specified across petrochemical, oil and gas, marine and process applications where durable, vibration-resistant connections are required. Anglo Stainless supplies socket weld 90° elbows in nominal pipe sizes from 1/4″ to 2″ (DN8–DN50). The 3000LB range is available across the full 1/4″–2″ span in forged 316/316L stainless steel, manufactured to ANSI B16.11 / BS3799, while the 150LB range covers 1/2″ to 2″ in cast grade CF8M (316) stainless steel. Larger sizes are available to order.
